* Prešov, January 26, 1878 – † Košice, August 15, 1941 / lawyer, author of travelogues ; ; He completed his secondary education in his hometown, and obtained a doctorate in law from the University of Cluj in 1900. Between 1901 and 1914 he was a teacher at the Prešov Law Academy, and in 1914 he also lectured at the University of Berlin. During World War I he was taken prisoner by the Russians. He learned Russian and lectured on economics at the University of Kharkov. In 1918 he returned to Hungary and became a teacher at the Hungarian-language law academy in Košice. In 1922, after the academy was closed, he retired and returned to Prešov. Between 1924 and 1928 he was the mayor of Prešov. He was a member of the Prešov branch of the Hungarian Carpathian Association, and between 1936 and 1939 he also served as vice-president of the Karpathenverein. He was one of the founders of the Hungarian Scientific, Literary and Artistic Society of Czechoslovakia ("Masaryk Academy").
