* Breznóbánya, June 22, 1829 – † Budapest, May 23, 1877 / doctor, university professor ; ; His father, Nepomuk Fleischer, worked as a surgeon in Breznóbánya and the boy also chose a medical career. He began his school studies in his hometown, and from 1841 he continued in Esztergom in order to learn the Hungarian language, and later studied in Miskolc, Eger, and Vác. In 1847 he applied to the medical faculty of the University of Pest, which he completed in 1853, but due to the events of 1848/49, his education was interrupted, he returned to his hometown, and then fought as a volunteer soldier in the War of Independence. After obtaining his medical degree, he was employed in the internal medicine department of the Pest clinic, and then transferred to the gynecology department, where he worked alongside Ignác Semmelweis. In 1867, he qualified as a private teacher of obstetric surgery at the University of Pest. In 1869, he became the chief physician of the gynecological department of the Rókus Hospital. He introduced a modern antiseptic procedure, which also gained great recognition abroad. ; ; His main works: ; Midwifery.
