* Ungcsepely, September 22, 1842 – † Ungvár, 1916 / lawyer, translator, folk poetry collector ; ; His parents' house was located on today's Csepely Street in the Ungcsepely district of Nagykapos. In the 1860s, he and his companions collected 339 Ruthenian folk songs and 92 fairy tales. The original text of this folk poetry material is lost or hidden. His folk song collection was published in Hungarian translation in 1870 in the series of the Kisfaludy Society entitled "Collection of Non-Hungarian Folk Poetry". After his retirement, he translated 40 texts from his folk tale collection, which were only published in 1970. The folk songs and folk tales that he translated from Ruthenian into Hungarian stand out among the Slovak and Romanian translations of his time with similar motives. Also noteworthy from an ethnographic point of view is his work entitled Ung County, published in the XVIII volume of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.
