The renowned painter Árpád Feszty, born in Ógyalla, married Róza Jókai, the adopted daughter of Mór Jókai, who was the granddaughter of the writer's wife, actress Róza Laborfalvy, in 1888. At the time of the painting, Jókai was already a widower, so he lived with Róza, who was so attached to him that they lived together even after their marriage. The wedding took place in Rijeka because Árpád Feszty's former girlfriend, actress Mari Jászai, had difficulty breaking up with the painter and, succumbing to her dramatic temperament, threatened the engaged couple with a pistol, which prompted them to choose a remote location for their union. There were not many guests, as the groom's friends, the painter Baron László Mednyánszky and the writer Zsigmond Justh, could not come, so apart from the father of the bride, only Árpád's brothers (Béla, Gyula, Lajos, Adolf, István) took part in the ceremony. They are captured in a photo taken by local photographer Carlo Zamboni on August 7, 1888. (G.
