Ferdinandy Geyza

* Košice, 10 June 1864 – † Budapest, 17 March 1924 / public lawyer, corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1905) ; ; In 1895 he obtained a private teacher's qualification at the University of Budapest (Hungarian public law), in 1905 he became an extraordinary, in 1918 a titled public regular teacher, in 1919 he became the Secretary of State for National Defense. He dealt with the history of Hungarian public law and constitutional law. Earlier he was a supporter of Széchenyi and – with certain corrections – of dualism, but in his last writings he took a stand for independent Hungarian statehood.
