* Selmecbánya, April 18, 1877 – † Sopron, April 4, 1962 / forestry engineer, university professor, corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1941) ; ; son of Lajos Fekete. He completed his college studies in Selmecbánya. In 1898 he entered the service of the state forestry. Between 1901 and 1907 he was an assistant professor, then an assistant professor, in 1911 an extraordinary professor, in 1918 a regular professor. After the institution moved to Sopron, he worked there as a college professor, then from 1934 as a university professor, retiring in 1946. In 1960, the Forestry Engineering College awarded him a diamond certificate. From 1931 to 1941, he was a member of the Upper House. He wrote plant geography studies (High Tatras, Low Tatras, Liptov Mountains, Small Fatra, Great Fatra, Little Carpathians, Transylvania), then studies on forest planning, forest estimation, forest value and height calculation, and several gap-filling books. ; ; His main works: ; Forest Estimation, Forest Planning (I–II.), Forest Value Calculation (multiple university lectures), 1941, ; Forest Estimation, 1951.
