* Komlóskeresztes, 1780 – † Pest, November 2, 1851 / archaeologist ; ; Károly Fejérváry (1743 – Komlóskeresztes, December 6, 1794) was the son of a landowner and collector of antiquities. [His sister, Apolllónia Fejérváry, was the mother of Ferenc Pulszky (Eperjes).] He studied law, then passed the bar exam, but eventually gave up practicing law and set off on a European tour, during which he visited many countries (Germany, France, England, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Austria, etc.) with his nephew, Ferenc Pulszky, and primarily studied monuments and antiquities. He was the tenant of the Vörösvágás noble opal mines. He was also known as a patron, among others, supporting Károly Markó's studies abroad. He created a significant archaeological collection, which he left to his nephew.
