* Košice, 1911. Apr. 25. – † Budapest, 1976. Feb. 26. / journalist, editor, theater director ; ; He earned a diploma from the Technical College in Prague. From 1934 he worked in E. Burian's socialist-minded Prague theater D 34. In 1936 he founded the Prague Petőfi Circle, a popular front cultural association. In 1936–1938 his articles and translations were published in Munkás and Magyar Nap. From 1940 he lived in Mo., and was persecuted for his labor movement activities. After 1945, he was one of the leaders of the Workers' Cultural Association, from 1948 he was the editor of several magazines (Művelt Nép, Színház és Mozi, Film, Színház, Muzsika), and between 1958 and 1967 he was the director of the Vidám Színpad. He wrote several comedies and farces, both alone and with co-authors. ;
