* April 2, 1967, Alsóbodok / University teacher, ecologist, museum founder, local history researcher, poet ; ; Sándor Fehér (doc. Ing. PhD.) University teacher was born in Alsóbodok in 1967, currently lives in Pográny. He completed his studies in Alsóbodok, Pográny, Udvard and Nitra, and habilitated in Gödöllő. He is an extraordinary professor in the field of environmental management at the Slovak University of Agricultural Sciences in Nitra. He is a deputy head professor at the Department of Sustainable Development of the Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development, the director of the national center of the Baltic University Program managed from Uppsala, Sweden, and since 2014 he has been a visiting professor at the College of Economics in Bydgoszcz. During his literary work, more than 190 scientific and other professional studies have been published in more than 20 countries around the world (USA, China, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, France, Belgium, Great Britain, Italy, Russia, etc.), he is a member of the editorial board of 6 scientific journals in Slovakia, Great Britain and the United States. In 2018, a more extensive English-language monograph discussing the relationship between vegetation history and cultural landscapes was published by the Swiss Springer publishing house (Vegetation history and cultural landscapes), which is based on case studies from the Highlands. He is a co-organizer of several international conferences (Cambridge, Manchester, Turku, Kuala Lumpur, etc.), and since 2016 he has been organizing international seminars on the traditional ecological knowledge of the peoples of the Visegrad countries. In 2016, he received the Award of the Minister of Environment of the Slovak Republic. He has also published two independent poetry collections (Cápafogak közt 2003, Pusztába kiáltó 2012). In his free time, if he has any, he deals with the regional history of Zoboralja. He was the author or co-author of several village monographs (Pográny 1995, 2005, Alsóbodok 1997, Nyitrageszte 1997, Babindál 2001, Gímes 2003, Zsére 2008, Csehi 2013) in Hungarian and/or Slovak. Together with his wife, Ivet Fehér Pindes, they also published a joint publication about the Nitra city cemetery (2009) and a more extensive work on the previously unexplored Hungarian literary traditions of Nitra (2012). Sándor Fehér was the author of a publication presenting the sights of Nitra (2006), a work presenting the Nitra aspects of the 1848/49 War of Independence (2014) and co-author of a work presenting the Nagycetény mountain book kept in 1807-1922 (2014). Their joint work with Imrich Točka, The Bells of Zoboralja, was published in 2017. He has been working on the manuscript of a monograph presenting the viticulture of the wider Nitra area for several years, and in 2017, together with his wife Ivet Fehér Pindes, they opened the Zoboralja Museum presenting the region in Alsóbodok.
