Aug. 6. / ethnographer ; ; He graduated from the Hungarian Gymnasium in Komárom (1973), then continued his studies at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest in the field of ethnography and history (1973–1978). He obtained a doctorate in humanities (1988). He worked as an ethnographer-museologist at the State District Archives in Komárom (1978–1983), then at the Danube River Museum in Komárom (1984–1991). Since 1991 he has been a teacher at the Vocational Training and Secondary School in Komárom, Budapest. Vice-president of the Hungarian Ethnographic Society in (Czech) Slovakia (1990–1997). ; ; He primarily deals with economic ethnography, and has published a separate volume and several studies on this subject. His papers on folk beliefs and customs in the Komárom area are also noteworthy. ; ; Works: Peasant Farming in the First Half of the 20th Century.
