Jan. 3. / journalist, poet ; ; He finished his schooling in Torná, Košice, Budapest and Komárom, where he graduated in 1953, and obtained a teaching certificate at the pedagogical high school in Rožňov. From 1955 he taught in Tornagörgő, from 1958 in Torná. From 1978 until his retirement (1993) he was the editor of Új Szó for Eastern Slovakia. ; ; He began to deal with poetry in the self-education circle of the high school in Komárom. His first poem was published in Új Ifjúság in 1953. The Anthology of Young Poets (1958) edited by Lajos Turczel also published some of his poems. After that, he rarely spoke as a poet. He had to wait a decade for his independent volume, he cultivated a confessional, experience-recording lyric that reflected on social events. His significance developed in cultural, ethnographic, and public education journalism.
