* Rimaszombat, October 23, 1844 – † Vác, January 30, 1930 / librarian, local historian ; ; He began his school studies in his hometown, then continued in Lőcse, Vác, Eger and Esztergom. In 1865–1869 he studied law at the University of Pest. In 1868–1869 he was the first to complete the statistics course organized by István Gorove (1819–1881), Minister of Agriculture, Industry and Trade. From 1869 he worked as an employee of the library of the national statistical office, and was its director between 1871–1907. He is responsible for building up the initial holdings and international relations of the statistical library, as well as preparing the first stock lists. He was a prominent local historian of Rimaszombat and Vác.
