* Munkács, April 18, 1870 – † Selmecbánya, October 2/3, 1911 / smelting and mining engineer, academic teacher ; ; Between 1888 and 1891 he was a student at the Selmecbánya Academy, graduated in metallurgy, later also graduated in mining. In 1892 he worked as an assistant professor at the Academy, then in 1894 and 1895 he was an assistant professor at the Aachen Technical University, during which he went on a study trip to Westphalia, Belgium and Sweden to inspect the metallurgical plants there. Between 1895 and 1905 he was an engineer at the Selmecbánya smelting office, and from 1905 until his tragic death he was a teacher at the II. Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Selmecbánya College. His work on non-ferrous metallurgy was left unfinished. He published a series of articles about his studies in the Mining and Metallurgical Journals, but his publications also appeared in the Forestry Journals. He was buried under the collapsing layer of earth when he inspected the college's new chemistry institute under construction.
