Wedding attire in Kamocsa from the 1900s
Other - other
The interesting thing about the civil dress of women and men at weddings in Kamocsa is that the many surviving photographs prove that the bride swore in a black dress and a parta made of black flowers on her head (Kamocsán fíkető), which she wore even as a young woman when she went to church on major holidays. The parta was replaced by a headscarf on the occasion of the first mourning that befell the family. The bridal dress shown in the picture was made by seamstress Erzsébet Zajíček based on a photograph taken by Eszter Soóki Józsefné Soóky in 1900, and the headdress is the work of florist Ilona Kovácsné Beke. ; ;
