* Levoca, 31 May 1749 – † Késmárk, 10 September 1831 / doctor ; ; His father, Jakab Engel (Levco, 30 June 1717 – Levoca, 5 June 1793) was a pharmacist. He graduated from the medical faculty of the University of Nagyszombat in 1773, as one of the first Hungarian students, and his medical doctorate dissertation was published in Bratislava in 1773 under the title Dissertatio inaug. medica sistens animadversiones circa praecipua in morbis acutis usitata remedia. He was the chief physician of Szepes County.
