Diocesan meeting in Felsőszeli

The diocesan assembly (convent) was a memorable event in the Lutheran congregation of Felsoszel, which took place on July 5, 1969. At the request of Pastor Francisci, the faithful joined forces and ensured the realization of the great event with their donations and work. In the picture, the Hungarian and Slovak faithful are posing in the courtyard of the community center, each with a large bowl of pastries in their hands. The women had already started baking the dry delicacies a week before so that everyone would have something to eat. Those who were there said that even the young people were caught up, they helped serve the refreshments and sweets. Not only did members of the local congregation participate in the assembly in the church, but priests and delegations came from the entire diocese. The gallery was also full of people. The churchyard and the sidewalk were also crowded. As a result of this event, the faith life in the congregation was strengthened.
