* May 20, 1932, Nagyabony - / public figure, leader of the folk song circle ; ; Recommendation ; The introductory lines bring to life the life of Erzsébet Écsi, fortunately and to the joy of all of us, unfinished, as she lived it. ; Her cheerfulness, vitality, and humanity captured us from the beginning of our acquaintance. Aunt Bözsi is one of the founders of the Nagyabony folk song circle, and for many years she was an active member, even passing on the tales, songs, beliefs, children's games, stories, and regional customs preserved in her memory, and a community-building member. ; She evokes her unique, personal folklore, with her colorful, enjoyable performance style. ; I have closely followed the struggles of her life, which cannot be called easy, the moral stance she inherited from her parents, and the determination she carried forward with all the attendant aspects of the past century. From her mother, she inherited a rich treasure trove of songs, a love of singing and an excellent voice, which she made public through the folk singing group. She believes in the power of belonging and in the preservation of the work of those who work to preserve our traditions. Even today, she helps her narrower and wider community with her advice and her own creations - poems, handicrafts. ; As her birthday approaches, I wish her good health, joyful, active years, and thank her for the years she has spent with me/us so far. ; ; Interviewed by: Katalin Kiss, leader of the folk singing group, in January 2016, in Nagyabony.
