Tornaja / Hungarian painter and graphic artist ; ; 1961-1967: studied privately with Béla Bacskai, Gyula Szabó and Milan Mravec. 1967-1968: Secondary School of Applied Arts, Bratislava. 1973-1979: AVU, Prague, prof. František Jiroudek. He started out as a chronicler of the Gömör landscape. He made intimate drawings of the old people in his village. His depiction of the landscape gradually became more expressive and colorful. The landscapes of his last period have a symbolic meaning.
