* Vágújhely, July 15, 1827 – † Ambon/Indonesia, May 1859 / physician, entomologist ; ; He completed his secondary schooling in Modor, Bratislava, and studied medicine at the University of Vienna. He worked in a Dutch colony, the East Indies (present-day Indonesia), where he primarily dealt with arthropods (spiders and insects). From there he sent his articles and letters to the Vienna and Pest newspapers (e.g. Pesti Napló, Budapesti Hírlap). He sent valuable insect collections to the Vienna Imperial Museum and the MNM on several occasions.
