Klara Doka

* Léva, February 25, 1944 – † Gyömrő, November 15, 2012 / archivist, historian ; ; He graduated from the Faculty of Arts of ELTE in Budapest, Hungarian History Department, in 1968, and then worked for six years at the Budapest Metropolitan Archives, during which he obtained a doctorate in 1969 and a candidate's degree in 1974. At the age of thirty, he undertook the creation of a new archive, and as head of the National Water Resources Archives, he organized the scattered documents and documentation material in the Water Resources Documentation and Further Training Institute into an archive in a few years. In 1981, the Archives Section of the Hungarian Librarians Association was established, and from May 1984 he worked there as deputy head of department. In 1992, his workplace became part of the Hungarian National Archives, and he worked there as chief archivist until his retirement on February 28, 2007. In 1996, he became a doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. ; The topics he has processed basically complete our knowledge of the economic history of the 18th and 19th centuries (guild crafts, secular and ecclesiastical manor history, church history, molinology90, history of mapping). Among his more than 400 published works, a large number are archival aids (map archive repertoire, catalogue, methodological studies), and in recent years, a textbook for secondary and higher-level archival courses. As an instructor, he has also taken a significant part in the training of archivists.
