* Bratislava, December 4, 1838 – † Bány Selmec, June 24, 1873 / mining district chemical analyst ; ; Son of the chief magistrate of Bratislava, Mihály Dobrovits, and brother of the chief physician of the hospital, Mátyás Dobrovits. He completed his secondary school studies in his hometown. In 1859–1860, he was a student at the Mining and Forestry Academy in Bány Selmec. In 1861, he was appointed an imperial and royal mining apprentice and assigned to the Zsarnóca metallurgy. In 1871, he was appointed a royal chemical analyst in Bány Selmec, but died at the age of 35. He published articles on mining and geological topics in the professional journals of the time. His best-known work was published in the Mining and Metallurgical Journals in 1870 under the title "On Experiments on the Accuracy of the Fire Gold and Silver Specimen".
