A traditional local cake. The people here baked it for holidays, pig slaughter, and Christmas. This custom is still alive in some families today. Interestingly, it was the first course of the festive dinner at Christmas, and it was eaten with garlic to prevent illness. ; ; Recipe for cottage cheese pie: ; ; Ingredients: ; For the dough: ; - 40 dkg semi-semolina flour ; - 1 dl oil ; - 2 dl milk ; - 3 dkg yeast ; - 3 tsp sugar (for the yeast) ; - 10 dkg sugar ; - 1 egg (for the spread) ; For the filling: ; - 75 dkg of open cottage cheese ; -25 dkg powdered sugar ; - 2 vanilla sugar ; - 2 tbsp semolina ; - 2 handfuls of raisins; - 2 eggs; ; Heat the milk with the sugar until lukewarm, then crumble the yeast in it and let it rise. When it has risen, add it to the sugar mixed with the flour. Pour in the oil and mix together. Knead until it comes away from your hands and the sides of the bowl. Sprinkle with flour, cover and let rise for 1 hour. ; Crush the cottage cheese with a fork and add the powdered sugar, eggs, raisins, vanilla sugar and semolina. Mix well. ; When the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured rolling board and spread it on a greased baking sheet. Brush the edges with the beaten egg. Place the cottage cheese on top and smooth it evenly. Sprinkle the top with ground cinnamon.
