* Košice, 30 November 1904 – † Balatonalmádi, 30 August 1962 / literary historian, writer ; ; Graduated from the Military Officers College, was a gendarmerie officer until 1945, participated in the resistance movement. After 1945, he was a police officer, then in 1950 he was arrested on trumped-up charges, and was rehabilitated in 1957. From 1957 until his death, he conducted extensive Petőfi research as a scientific researcher at the Institute of Literary History in Hungary, Transylvania and Slovakia. Based on this, he began a new Petőfi biography, which he was unable to finish.
