* Garamdamásd, January 15, 1879 – † Budapest, August 20, 1942 / teacher, aesthete ; ; He came from a Jewish family, he had his original surname Magyarized in 1899. At the end of 1918, the Károlyi government appointed him as the director general of the Budapest school district, for which he was dismissed in 1920. Minister of Culture Kunó Klebelsberg commissioned him to write the history of the National Theatre, and for this he received a scholarship for a study trip abroad.
