Afternoon idyll on Main Street

Other - other

Vága, 1960s; The house of the Lukács family at house number 197 on the main street. ; The village is a clustered settlement with streets. The Main Street forms the axis of the settlement, widening in the middle, and the Roman Catholic church stands here. This street was primarily lined with the houses of the wealthier farmers. The upper part was the Fővég, then the Csincsa was connected to it, where the poorer class who had settled here from abroad lived. The lower part of the Main Street was the Alvég. The Mester Street (street in the Vága dialect) led to the church. A new street was built parallel to the Main Street: the Kertalja, and at the end of it was the street called the Pajták vége. The continuation of the Kertalja is the Temető Street, then the cemetery garden, the so-called. Nyúlkert. On one side of the cemetery is Nyúl Street, on the other side is the mill apartment (the former mill owner lived here), which has been the building of the Roman Catholic parish since June 1942.
