* July 16, 1925, Kürt – † June 8, 2008, Cífer / pastor, local historian ; ; He was born as the fifth child of Kálmán Danczi and Erzsébet Fazekas, on July 16, 1925 in Kürt. ; His siblings: József Danczi Villebald OSB, Mária, Ágnes, Terézia and his sister, Erzsébet. He completed elementary school in his native village, then continued his studies at the Benedictine High School in Komárom. After graduating, he studied at the Esztergom Seminary for two years, but due to political changes – the drawing of national borders – he had to complete his theological studies at the Bratislava Seminary. ; He was ordained a priest in Bratislava on June 12, 1949. ; In 1949 he worked as a chaplain in Nyitrakoros, Taksony, Kürt. ; In 1950 he worked as a chaplain in Ipolyság, Gerencsér. ; In 1951 he worked as a chaplain in Pozsony-Téglamező. ; From 1 February 1951 he carried out his pastoral work among the followers of Gímes (other spelling: Ghymes) in Zoboralj. ; From 1 August 1962 he continued his priestly activity in Zsélyé, which is on the border of Nógrád and Hont counties. ; From 24 April 1969 he was the parish priest of Vága village in Mátyusföld for 33 years. ; Father Lajos retired after 53 years of active work. On 1 July 2002 he moved to the priest's home in Bazin, and from there to Nagszombat. From there he was transferred to Cífer, where in the 83rd year of his life and the 59th year of his priesthood he returned his noble soul to his Creator. The parish had to be organized, a parish had to be built, and the church had to be renovated. With the vigor of a young priest, he raised the village and shepherded the flock entrusted to him. In addition to his pastoral duties, he also did a lot for the young people. He directed plays and folk plays, and revived the old beautiful folk customs and traditions, such as the villőzés, Santa Claus walks, and lucázás… He wrote the history of the village. In addition, he taught thirty-six religious teachers every week, educated and raised the children of nine villages. ; In Vága, in this village in Mátyusföld, embraced by the Vág River, he baptized, swore, buried, and celebrated masses for 33 years. He took special care of the house of God with great devotion. He built it, had it beautified, and devoted a great deal of energy to it, not sparing any precious time. The renovation, collection, and care of the village's church traditions were also his heart's desire, and he loved Vága extremely. With his actions, he proclaimed that the preservation, care, and passing on of the traditions of the ancestors all serve as an example for posterity. ; He was faithful to God, Jesus, his faith, the church, and the Hungarian people.
