Heinrich Lanz AG was an agricultural machinery manufacturer from Mannheim, Germany.The company and its LANZ brand were acquired by American agricultural machinery manufacturer John Deere in 1956. The company won several awards at the Strasbourg Agricultural Fair in 1866. ; Heinrich Lanz Company was founded in 1859. In 1879 it produced the first steam-powered stationary threshing machines and in 1921 its first crude oil-powered tractor - the Lanz Bulldog. ; ;
