* Beje, February 10, 1924 – † Budapest, November 14, 1984 / agricultural economist, politician, university professor, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences ; ; He graduated from the Budapest University of Economics in 1950. In 1950–1956, he was an associate professor at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Gödöllő, from 1957 he held various party and government office positions, then he was a professor, vice-rector, and finally rector of the Karl Marx University of Economics until his death. He was engaged in research on cooperative theory and the examination of the laws of agro-industrial development. He was one of the preparers of the Hungarian economic reform.
