In 1954, he received a diploma from the Veszprém University of Chemical Industry, and in 1962 from the Marx Károly University of Economics in Budapest. In 1964, he received the title of technical doctor in Veszprém. In 1985, he became a candidate of chemical sciences. From 1954 to 1959, he was a plant manager, and in 1959-1962, he was a production department manager at the Petroleum Industry Company in Almásfüzitő. From 1962 to 1969, deputy director, and from 1969 to 1991, director at the Hungarian Mineral Oil and Natural Gas Experimental Institute in Veszprém. Retired after 1991. Since 1984, associate professor at the University of Veszprém. Member of the Hungarian Chemists Association since 1965, of the American Chemical Society since 1971, and of the VEAB Environmental Protection Committee since 1971. From 1972 until its dissolution, he was an authorized representative of the KMST VÁB Monomer Coordination Center. Member of the Technical Chemistry Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences from 1972, member of the Petroleum and Petrochemical Working Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences from 1982-1986, member of the Petroleum and Petrochemical Working Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences from 1985, member of the management of the Petroleum and Petrochemical Department of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences from 1986. Member of the editorial board of the Hungarian Journal of Industrial Chemistry in 1978. In 1981, partly at his suggestion, the joint economic association of the Balatonfüred-Csopak Tája Tsz and the MÁFKI was established. His research area: chemical utilization of petroleum and natural gas, modern processing and utilization of mineral oil residues for the production of chemical derivatives, development of new technological solutions.
