After the war, he himself moved to Szigetköz, Tejfalusziget in 1947, where he resumed his collecting work. Several of his short articles were published in the long-standing yearbook of the Ornithological Institute in Aquila. He was not only an ornithologist, but also an enthusiastic nature lover and hunter.
