* Szobránc, January 16, 1916 – † Szobránc, October 29, 1992 / pharmacist, amateur astronomer ; ; He began his school studies in his hometown, graduating from the Levoča gymnasium in 1934. He began his university studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University in Prague, but due to the German occupation he returned to his hometown, which was then part of Hungary again, and then continued in Budapest and graduated in 1944 and obtained a doctorate in pharmacy. He worked in Szőgyén until the end of the war, then became an employee of the Slovakofarma company in Galgóc, where he was later entrusted with the management of technical production. Between 1949 and 1960, he lectured on galvanic methods of pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Comenius University in Bratislava, but also taught mathematics. In 1954, he founded an amateur astronomy club in Galgóc and built a small observatory. Over time, this grew into a district observatory. He regularly promoted astronomy and was a member of the editorial board of the bimonthly astronomical journal Kozmos for many years. A small asteroid bears his name (25778 Csere).
