* Salgótarján, April 23, 1879 – † Budapest, November 8, 1954 / ironworks engineer, university professor, corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences ; ; He obtained his engineering degree at the Academy of Selmecbánya in 1902. After that, he worked at the Kalán Iron and Steel Works, where he was the first in Hungary to introduce automatic control of the martin furnaces. Between 1912 and 1921, he was the chief engineer of the Korompa Iron Works. In 1923, he was appointed professor of the Department of Ferrous Metallurgy at the Sopron College. He was one of the most outstanding teachers in his field. His studies were published in the Mining and Metallurgical Journals and foreign journals.
