* Nagytapolcsány, January 15, 1898 – † Budapest, November 7, 1976 / veterinarian, microbiologist ; ; Graduated from the Budapest Veterinary College (1921). After obtaining his veterinary doctorate (1922), he became an assistant at the Institute of Bacteriology. From 1926, he was a bacteriologist at the Danube-Tiszaközi Chamber of Agriculture in Kecskemét, then at the State Vaccine Production Institute. From 1933 to 1961, until his retirement, he was the head of the vaccine control department of the National Veterinary Institute in Budapest. He is credited with developing and implementing appropriate biological control methods for several veterinary vaccines.
