Alexander Buchler

* Fülek, September 24, 1870 – † Auschwitz, July 1944 / rabbi, historian, Judaic researcher ; ; He was ordained a doctor of humanities at the Budapest University of Science and Technology in 1893, and a rabbi at the rabbinical training school in 1895. Between 1897 and 1944, he was the rabbi of the Jewish community in Keszthely. At the University of Budapest, he was qualified as a private teacher on the history of Hungarian Jewry. His scientific papers were published in various Jewish journals, and he was also a contributor to the Jewish Encyclopedia.
