István Boröcz

* Košice, September 20, 1913 – † Budapest, February 18, 1978 / mechanical engineer, building engineer, university professor ; ; As a high school graduate, he won a national academic competition in physics. He obtained a diploma from the Budapest University of Technology in 1938. He first worked for the newly rebuilt railway as the head of the Transportation Planning Company, then the mechanical engineering department of the Railway Plan. From 1952, he was a chief railway engineer, later the head of the mechanical engineering department of the Chemical Plan. From 1963, he was a senior research fellow at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Gödöllő, a lecturer in agricultural building engineering. He participated in the design of the Engels Square bus station, the Székesfehérvár railway station, and the Csillebérc Pioneer Railway, among others.
