* Hodrusbánya, December 31, 1856 – † Turócszentmárton, May 9, 1912 / teacher, local historian, flora researcher, composer. ; ; He completed his secondary school studies in Selmecbánya, and his teacher training in Léva. He obtained his teaching certificate from the University of Budapest in 1877. In 1877–1880 he was a teacher at the State Teacher Training Institute in Modor, in 1880–1885 he was a teacher at the middle school in Turócszentmárton, and from 1885 he was also the director of the Higher Commercial School in Turócszentmárton. He primarily collected vascular plants and made herbariums from them. The fate of these is unknown. As an amateur flora researcher, he studied the flora of the mountains around Modor, the Little Carpathians, the Great Fatra and the Little Fatra, and Turócszentmárton. He also intended to write a large-scale floristic work on the flora of Turócszentmárton, of which only one booklet was eventually published, the remaining parts are either missing or not completed.
