* Királyhelmec, July 4, 1951 – † Királyhelmec, January 15, 2011 / teacher, nature conservationist, nature photographer, local historian, biological and landscape geography writer ; ; He completed his primary and secondary school education in his hometown. He began his studies at the University of Košice, but dropped out for family reasons, and then in 1972 he obtained a teaching certificate in adult education and pioneer leadership at the Pedagogical College in Hradec Králové. In 1970–1974 he was the director of the Youth House in Királyhelmec, and in 1975–1990 of the Nagykapos Youth House. At that time, he began to deal with local history and nature conservation, organizing tours for students and pupils, while also photographing the plants and natural formations of his native land (the Ung-vidék and the Bodrogköz). He trained himself as a botanist and local historian as a self-taught person. He regularly published in regional and central newspapers about the natural conditions, past, monuments, and protected plant and animal species of the landscape. In 1993, he moved back to Királyhelmec, where he first worked at the City Office and then, from 2004 to 2006, was the director of the Leisure Center. After that, he was one of the founders and until his death, the director of the Museum of Homeland Studies.
