* Kiszucaújhely, 24 August 1744 – † Kőszeg, 14 November 1807 / Piarist priest, poet, church writer ; ; He was of noble origin, entered the Piarist order in 1764 and was ordained a communion priest in 1773. During this time, he studied philosophy at the University of Nagyszombat. In 1776–1792, he taught mathematics, philosophy and history at the Nyitra gymnasium, and in 1792–1795 in Máramarossziget. From 1795, he was a parish priest and Hungarian preacher in Debrecen, Kalocsa and Nagykároly. In 1800–1803, he worked as a deputy rector first in Veszprém and then again in Máramarossziget. In 1803–1805 he was sub-vicar of Nyitra, and from 1805 he was sub-director of Selmecbánya. As a poet, he wrote the then fashionable epigram, and also wrote works on ecclesiastical themes, polemics and memorial speeches in Latin and Hungarian. ; ; His main works: ; Moral Education Part 1, 1792, ; Saint Stephen, the True Roman Catholic, 1795, ; Educational and Prayerful Booklet, 1805.
