Feb. 26. / actor, director, chief director, manager. ; ; He graduated from the Hungarian Teachers' College in Poznań (1958), then he obtained a qualification as an actor at the same College of Dramatic Arts (1959–1963) and as a theatre director at the College of Theatre and Film Arts in Bőcség (1968). – In 1958–1959 he was an actor at MATESZ, and after completing his college studies he became a director (1968–1976). On 31 Oct. 1969 he founded the Thália Theatre, which operated as the Thália Theatre of MATESZ in Košice from 1971. He was the director, initially director and artistic director of the latter between 1969 and 1978. In 1978 he was appointed as the Director of the Theatre and Film Academy in Košice. for personal reasons, he left for Mo. with his family. He was the director of the National Theatre in Miskolc, the chief director of the Katona József Theatre in Kecskemét from 1978 to 1981, and the director of the People's Theatre in Békés from 1984. From March 1990, he was the director of MATESZ (Jókai Theatre in Komárno), and under his management, the Thália Theatre in Košice became independent. From 1996, he was the director-chief director of the Gárdonyi Géza Theatre in Eger, and from December 2003, he was again the artistic director of the Thália Theatre in Košice. ; – His activities include starting the literary stage movement in Slovakia as a college student. His graduation production (Romeo and Juliet, 1968) at the Hungarian Regional Theatre in Komárno marked a turning point in the history of Hungarian theatre in Slovakia. His role in the operation of the Thália Theatre in Košice – as a director and artistic director – was decisive. He gave the company a definite image, in his directing he strengthened the content and message of the performances with the tools of metaphor, and he functionally applied his uniquely expressive vision both in visual compositional solutions and in lighting.
