Bartalos Menyhért

* Tejfalu, January 6, 1924 – † Dunaszerdahely, September 18, 1999 / plant breeder, ; professional writer ; ; He completed elementary school in his native village, middle school in Somorja, and graduated from the Higher Commercial School in Győr in 1943. He obtained a diploma from the Agricultural College in Mosonmagyaróvár in 1949. In 1950–1952, he was a technician at the Gomba Plant Breeding Station, then an employee of the Sóssziget Plant Breeding Station, its leading plant breeder from 1961, and its leader between 1982 and 1992. His research field is the breeding of fodder plants and the examination of their yield. He bred five wheat varieties, four new fodder sorghum varieties and four melon varieties. In 1983, he received the Klement Gottwald State Award.
