* Pésztyén, December 8, 1895 – † Veszprém, February 16, 1970 / doctor ; ; He received his diploma in 1921 from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Budapest. Between 1917 and 1939, he was a student, medical intern, assistant professor, and then head of the X-ray laboratory of the Urology Clinic at the Central X-ray Institute there. From 1939 to 1942, he performed tasks in gynecology, obstetrics, and radiodiagnostics at the University of Pécs. In 1942, he qualified as a private teacher, then became the director and chief X-ray physician of the Subotica hospital. It was then that he took his mother's surname (Bárány). Between 1945 and 1970, he was the chief X-ray physician and deputy director of the Veszprém hospital. He mainly dealt with urological X-ray diagnostics and the X-ray fine-structure examination of kidney stones. He published nearly a hundred theses and papers, and gave more than 300 professional lectures. He participated in the organization of the Hungarian Medical Radiology Association, of which he was the general secretary from 1935 to 1939. In 1947, he organized the West-Transdanubian Radiology Group. His studies were published primarily in Hungarian Radiology and other journals.
