John Baradlai, Breit

* Felsőolcsvár, November 16, 1873 – † Budapest, January 18, 1942 / pharmacist, pharmaceutical historian ; ; He obtained a pharmacy degree from the University of Vienna in 1890, and a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Budapest in 1918. He began his career in the pharmacy in Diósgyőr. In 1901, he was the assistant editor of the Gyógyszeréssi Közlöny, in 1914 he was the owner of the Isteni Gondviselés pharmacy in Dunaharaszt, and from 1928 he was the co-owner of the Petőfi and Batthyány pharmacies in Budapest. He was a member of the Internationale Gesellschaft für Geschichte der Pharmazie, the pharmaceutical association, and the board of directors of the Hungarian Pharmacists' Association. He collected data on the history of Hungarian pharmacy for several decades.
