* Lugos, July 4, 1902 – † Szeged, March 30, 1983 / archaeologist, museum director ; ; From 1921 he studied history and geography in Szeged, and received his doctorate in 1926. He was an intern at the local Institute of Archaeology, from 1930 he was an assistant professor, from 1936 he was an assistant professor. From 1939 he worked at the Košice Museum. After 1945, as a ministerial commissioner, he participated in the assessment of museum damage and the reorganization of public and private collections. From 1949 to 1968 he was the director of the Szeged Museum. He expanded the museum building, reorganized the fine arts collection, and launched a yearbook series. He led the excavations of numerous medieval churches, cemeteries, and settlements. From 1958 to 1966 he lectured at the University of Szeged. In 1964 he received the title of associate professor. He published numerous medieval archaeological articles.
