* ? 1791 – † Buda, 1868 / chemist, mining advisor ; ; Between 1830 and 1856 he was a lecturer and later a professor at the metallurgical-chemical department of the Academy. Several technical innovations are associated with his name (e.g. a device for preheating the air of blast furnaces). In 1829 his volume Chemische Abhandlung über das Mangan was published in Vienna.
