Relocation of the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Ógyalla

Due to the sunken pedestal, we decided to relocate the statue. We tried twice to win money from the foundation based in Nyitra for the renovation, but Árpád Bagin also initiated the declaration of the statue as a monument in 2017. We entrusted the selection of the location entirely to stone sculptor and restorer András Csütörtöki, who said that the "old" location of the statue at the intersection of Komáromi út and Hársfa utca was secondary. Later, it was confirmed that the statue used to be located next to the old church. We also know a photo of this from the Feszty family's photo gallery (1908). The criticisms could not be ignored, as the locals loved the "old" location of the statue.
