* Kisráska, December 13, 1823 – † Sárospatak, March 21, 1879 / royal councilor, inspector of education, textbook writer ; ; His father, András Árvay ref., was a pastor. He completed his secondary school studies in Sárospatak, but also studied philosophy, law and theology there. After graduating from college, he worked as an educator. From 1851, he was a mathematics teacher at the Sárospatak College, and from 1857, he was the director of the teacher training institute set up at the college, but before his inauguration, he made a study trip to Switzerland, Belgium and Germany. From 1869 until his death, he was a royal councilor and inspector of education in Zemplén County. He was a member of the Public Library founded by the teachers of Sárospatak, and a member and then co-editor (1859–1860) of the Sárospatak Notebooks.
