Angel Bela

* Gúta, May 22, 1958 – / electrical engineer, local historian ; ; He began his school studies in his hometown, graduating from the high school in Komárom (1977). He completed his university studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (1982). Between 1984–1991 he worked for the District Service Company in Komárom, and then was a private entrepreneur (1991–1994). Between 1994 and 1998, he was the deputy mayor of Gúta, and from 1999 he worked in various state administrative institutions: in 1999 and 2000, he was the head of the Minority Department of the Slovak Government Office, in 2000 and 2002, he was the head of the office of the President of the Public Procurement Office, in 2002 and 2004, he was the head of the office of the Ministry of Agriculture, and from 2005 to 2010, he was the President of the Public Procurement Office. In 2010, he became the representative of the Most–Híd Party in Nitra County. Since 1982, he has been engaged in local history and ethnographic collection work. He has published papers primarily on the traditional farming of the population of Gúta and its surroundings in Slovak and Hungarian journals and in various study volumes (Magda Fehérváry ed.: Gúta traditional farming in the first half of the 20th century, József Liszka ed.: Leléd traditional farming in the first half of the 20th century).
