Oct. 12. / journalist, newspaper editor ; ; He finished high school in Sárospatak, during and after which he wrote poems for Kassák Lajos Munka and sociographic reports on the life of the farm world. He was arrested twice on charges of communist organization, so he emigrated to Czechoslovakia in September 1934. He lived in Po., and continuously published in the Magyar Újság and the Csehszlovákiai Népszava. The theoretical journal of the Social Democratic Party of Mo., Sócializmus, also often published his studies (Új népies költészet, A slovenszkói magyar irodalomról etc.). He often indicated his writings with the name István S. Pataki.
