Alexander Albert

* Nagykapos, 1943. May. 24. / educational science writer, associate professor. ; ; He finished primary school in his hometown, graduated from the Košice industrial school (1961). Then he obtained a diploma in mechanical engineering from the Košice Technical College (1966). In 1990, he obtained the title of candidate of pedagogical sciences from the Slovak Technical University in Poznań, and in 1997 he habilitated (obtained the degree of associate professor) in pedagogy. ; – From 1966, he was a teacher at the industrial school, and between 1990 and 1997, he was its director. Between 1997 and 2004, he was a lecturer at the Košice Technical University. In 1997, he founded the Department of Engineering Pedagogy, of which he became the head. Since October 2002, he has been a member of the Slovak Parliament. He is the head of the permanent parliamentary delegation of the Central European Initiative and a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Since January 1, 2004, he has been the head of the Selye János University in Komárom, a ministerial commissioner, and since November 2004, he has been an extraordinary university professor and the rector of the university. ; – He has been engaged in publishing since 1968, dealing with educational and methodological issues. He is the author of 17 monographic publications, 10 university textbooks and notes and 12 secondary school textbooks and textbooks. Today, he regularly publishes in the Katedra journal and in several Slovak-language publications (Pedagogická revue, Technológia vzdelávania, etc.). His individual works have been published in Slovak. ; – In 2002, he received one of the highest pedagogical awards in Hungary, the János Apáczai Csere Award, for his work.
