* Bratislava, January 28, 1795 – † Kismarton, November 12, 1853 / Franciscan monk, botanist, natural science, geographical and ecclesiastical writer ; ; He entered the Franciscan order in 1810. He studied humanities in Székesfehérvár and theology in Bratislava. He was an organist in Szombathely in 1816 and in Érsekújvár in 1817. He was ordained a priest in 1818 and was a preacher in Érsekújvár until 1820. Later he worked in Nagyszombat, in 1823–1824 in Kismarton, and between 1825–1838 in Pest (Kossuth remembered him as a personal acquaintance and with respect), but he was slandered, so his superiors sent him to the countryside. Between 1838 and 1840 he was a preacher in Győr and Bratislava, and then lived in Kismarton. He also dealt a lot with natural sciences, especially botany. After his death, the provincial governor donated his plant collection and botanical manuscripts to the MNM. In addition to works containing his church sermons, he wrote and published a geography of Hungary in German. He wrote a geography book for elementary and secondary schools, which was used by students for decades.
